Post Graduate Diploma in Management Programme
(PGDM) – Two Years

The PGDM programme at IMT CDL is specifically designed to provide students with comprehensive management education. The two-year programme is divided into four semesters and offers an intensive, stimulating, and challenging learning experience.

The curriculum is designed to lay a strong foundation for students’ logical and analytical skills, and it covers all important areas of management specialization. The Program is designed to prepare professional managers for positions of responsibility in a global environment.

IMT Ghaziabad Online Courses Programme Structure

The PGDM programme consists of four (4) semesters. The programme consists of a total of eighty-four (84) credits. It consists of three (3) non-credit Foundation Courses, fifteen (15) Core Courses totaling sixty (60) credits, five (5) Elective Courses totaling twenty (20) credits, and a four (4) credit Project Work.
The student will learn concepts in all key areas of management during the first three semesters. During the final semester, students will be able to choose five (5) electives of their choice. If a student wishes to specialise in a specific area, he or she must select all five (5) electives from that area.

The two-year IMT Ghaziabad Online Courses PGDM programme includes specializations’ in marketing, finance, human resources, and operations. & Business Analytics.

Programme Eligibility

Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from any recognized University or equivalent degree recognized by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).

SCHEDULE OF PAYMENTS


The fee for all programme is due at the start of each semester. Only after IMT CDL receives the fee will study materials be sent. Failure to pay the fee prevents the candidate from attending Online/Offline Learning Sessions (OLS), and continued failure results in exclusion from the programme. The students are responsible for making sure the fee is paid on time.

Important Note

  • Every student is expected to pay a semester-by-semester fee in January and July of each year for the duration of the programme. If a student fails to pay the fee for the semester in question by the due date, the student must pay the fee plus a fine of Rs. 2500.
  • There is an additional Exam Fee for International Location. If a student takes an exam in an international location, he or she must pay a fee of Rs. 2500 for each exam.

2. IMT Ghaziabad Online Courses PGDM (Executive) – 15 Months

The PGDM (Executive) is specially designed for individuals taking on larger critical roles in their organizations and businesses. This programme differentiates itself in focusing on experiential learning through real business cases, experience sharing and, strong industry-linkage.

The programme content has been designed keeping industry insights pertaining to working executives. They need programme that provide the right flexibility to enable them to pursue their careers and education together. At the same time, the programme should ensure a very high-quality experience.

To ensure competency building in specific domains the PGDM (Executive) Programme has been designed in such a fashion that in addition to core management foundation it allows the executives to build up skills and specialize in either of the key functional areas- Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resource and, Business Analytics.

Programme Structure

The PGDM (Executive) programme is divided into two semesters, with an additional three months for project work.
The programme is worth a total of fifty-six (56) credits. It consists of three (3) non-credit Foundation Courses, nine (9) Core Courses totaling thirty-six (36) credits, four (4) Elective Courses totaling sixteen (16) credits, and four (4) credits of Project Work.
The student will learn concepts in all key areas of management during the first semester. The second semester will be devoted to the chosen area of specialisation.

Finance, Marketing, Operations, Human Resources, and Business Analytics are the five specializations’ available.

3. Post Graduate Certificate in Management Programme- 13 Months Programme

The PGCM programme includes a structured and compact Business Administration module. The curriculum covers a variety of management topics relevant to professionals.

The programme teaches the fundamentals of General Management, Finance, Human Resources, Operations, and Marketing Management. This programme is intended to improve participants’ managerial abilities, resulting in continuous value addition at their workplace.

It encourages the use of current management business knowledge and perspectives in an interdisciplinary setting. The use of real-life case studies assists participants in developing the skills required to manage real-life situations.

Structure of the Program

The PGCM is taught over the course of two semesters. The programme consists of a total of forty-four (44) credits. It consists of three (3) non-credit Foundation Courses, ten (10) Core Courses totaling forty (40) credits, and one (4) credit Comprehensive Viva Voce.

ASSESSMENT

Evaluation

The IMT CDL evaluation system consists of two components: an assignment (30 points) and an end-of-term examination (70 marks). The student must submit assignments throughout the semester, and examinations will be held at the end of the semester. The examination will take place at designated locations.

Examinations

The End-Term Examination (ETE) is held at the end of every semester

Assignments

Assignments are a critical component of the evaluation system and an excellent tool for continuous evaluation. During the semester, each course has two assignments. During the semester, the assignments are activated in the student information system according to the announced timelines. Students must submit their assignments prior to the start of the End-Term Examination.

Weightage: Assignment (30 marks) and End Term Examination (70 marks)

Passing criteria:

  • To be declared a ‘Pass’ in a course, a student must obtain 40% in aggregate (Assignments and ETE combined) with a minimum of 25% in ETE.
  • For each course, the student must complete two 15-point assignments. There are no minimum marks required in assignments to be declared a ‘Pass’ in a course.
  • The project is due in the final semester of the two-year PGDM and 15-month PGDM (Executive) programmes. To be declared a ‘Pass,’ the student must receive at least 40% of the marks in Project Work.
  • In the final semester of the PGCM programme, students must participate in a comprehensive Viva Voce.
